Sometimes Shimo displays the following message:

Error code = xyz

Error Code = 6699
This error code usually appears when trying to establish a PPTP connection through an iPhone hotspot. The problem appears due to the removal of PPTP support from iOS 10. This also prevents your Mac from sending the necessary configuration packages through the iPhone hotspot when trying to establish a PPTP connection through Shimo.
Error code = 61
This error code usually points towards some problems with the VPN server. The two most common issues are:
- The server is down for maintenance or the server address has changed.
- Your account has expired and you need a new username or password.
In any case please contact the server admin or the IT support of your company first and see if there are any problems on their side.
Error code = 60
This error code usually appears when something is preventing Shimo from sending the necessary configuration packages to establish the connection. Your router or ISP can be blocking the outgoing connections. If you have the possibility, please check the same configuration with a different internet access point.
If you have a firewall, which is blocking outgoing connections (e.g. Little Snitch), please make sure that Shimo is allowed to send all outgoing connections.
It can however also be a problem on the server side, so a check with the server admin might help as well.
